Applying the handbrake is easy

An electric handbrake switch replaces the traditional lever. Pull the switch up to apply and push the switch down to release. And when you stop at traffic lights, Brake Auto Hold keeps the vehicle stationary even if you release your foot from the brake pedal. To move forward, simply press the accelerator to release the brakes.

Slip into Sports Mode

A new ‘M’ position has been added to the CVT*. This puts the transmission into sport mode. So if you want the thrill of a manual driving experience, this is the setting to choose. You can also change into Sport Mode using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

*Continuously Variable Transmission is a system that seamlessly changes through a range of gear ratios.

Smooth handling

We’ve increased the diameter of the front struts and refined the shock absorbers. The result is stable, smoother handling whatever surface you’re on and without sacrificing comfort.

The OUTLANDER is available in a range of dynamic colors, including the new 6-layer Red Diamond color which has a richer, deeper finish.

Ever tried to open your tailgate with arms full of equipment or groceries? We know what it’s like – we go shopping too. That’s why the OUTLANDER’s smooth operating power tailgate gives you three ways to open it: the key fob, a button on the dashboard or a button on the tailgate itself.

Keep your field of vision clear

It’s a chore to keep adjusting the windscreen wipers if the rain gets worse, or remembering to turn on your lights as night falls. Well from now on you don’t have to: sensors detect the amount of rain and light, then automatically turn on the windscreen wipers or lights as needed. So you can focus 100% on your drive.

Impressive towing ability

The OUTLANDER can tow a braked trailer weight of 1,600 kg, which is ideal if you want to haul a caravan or a quad bike trailer.

Get the special finishing touches

If you want to draw even more admiring glances, there’s a special package you can choose. It comes with 18” black alloy wheels, black front grille, door mirrors and other black detailing such as skid plates and door garnish. And inside, you’ll get black roof lining, and aluminium F-1 style pedals.
