Burmester® high-end 3D surround sound system

The optional Burmester® high-end 3D surround sound system produces a high-end audio experience with 26 speakers and a system output of 1610 W. You conduct the system like your own personal orchestra: not only can you adjust the sound to your personal taste by selecting one of five different presets, you can also assign an individual setting to each seat. Sophisticated noise compensation (VNC) additionally adjusts the music and sound dynamically to your driving conditions. As fine as their sound, the design of the speakers also features characteristically styled metal covers. The Burmester® lettering on the speaker covers flags up the premium cachet of the high-end 3D surround sound system, even when not a sound is to be heard.

Fully digital Widescreen Cockpit

With the Widescreen Cockpit, the new GLS is streets ahead on the digital front, too.

With the Widescreen Cockpit, the instrument display and media display form a visual unit. The two fully digital colour displays are combined beneath a joint glass cover and blend harmoniously into the interior design as a seamless surface. The media display comes in a free-standing variant for the first time – an elegant eye-catching feature.

The Memory package provides practical ease of operation – especially when your vehicle is used by different people. Besides seat adjustment, the individual position profiles also comprise the alignment of the steering column and exterior mirrors. After a change of driver or front passenger, your position can be restored at the touch of a button.
