This is the fourth generation Montero since its launch in 1982. It’s ability to tackle all sorts of challenges is legendary. This version is still a Montero at heart, but it also has the advantages of pioneering technology to enhance the driving pleasure both on road and off.

A 4WD system to take you anywhere
The Montero can take on all kinds of terrain, thanks to Super Select 4WD-II. This state-of-the-art four wheel drive system controls the power and braking to each wheel for maximum stability and traction. You can shift between the various modes, depending on the conditions, at speeds of up to 100 km/h.
Better handling in all conditions
The Montero’s rally-proven all-wheel independent suspension gives you solid, predictable handling even in the most unpredictable road conditions. The front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspensions use coil springs to provide a quick and natural response, especially when cornering.
Go where other vehicles fear to tread
Because it has a high ground clearance, the Montero can tackle rocky terrain, flooded roads and rivers. It means that you’re all set to travel across territory once considered off-limits and ready for challenges on the toughest terrain.
Rugged, yet sleek on the outside
The aerodynamic front of the Montero features the strong, horizontal chrome bars of the upper grille giving it a tough, no-nonsense face. The sides are muscular and solid-looking all the way to the tail-end. The overall effect makes the Montero feel reassuringly strong, and protective.
Inside the Montero, it’s a million miles away from the tough exterior. The cabin offers a high level of luxury, there’s plenty of space for up to seven occupants and the versatile seating can be reconfigured to match passenger or storage requirements.
A seat of power for the driver
To increase the comfort level for all passengers, the figure-hugging seats have shoulder support and maximum back support. The sporty-looking front seats have deep side support and the driver has a power seat with lumbar support to get the position exactly right.
